12TH ANNUAL TCHAIKOVSKY PIANO COMPETITION 2023
The The New Russia Cultural Center, Inc. (NRCC) is a 501(c) nonprofit organization o provides a forum and opportunities for young musicians in the Capital Region of New York State to perform for development of their musical talents and for the cultural enhancement of the community.
The NRCC is the sponsor of the Annual Tchaikovsky Piano Competition for piano students in the Greater Capital Region. This prestigious event sees 25-30 of the finest young pianists in the region compete. Judges are drawn from the faculties of upstate NY colleges and universities. Prizes are awarded in three categories: YoungLevel, Junior Level, and Senior Level.

Registration for the 12th Annual Tchaikovsky Piano Competition open October 10, 2022
We are very pleased to announce our 12tht Anjual Tchaikovsky Piano Competition! This annual event allows serious piano students throughout the region to showcase their skill. The 2023 Competition will be held at 31 Reatreat House Rd in Bethlehem on Saturday, April 1, 2023 starting at 10 AM and judged by a panel of accomplished musicians. Any and all appropriate COVID precautions will be in effect at that time.
Winners receive cash prizes. Over the last 20 years, the community has grown to appreciate the opportunity to listen and watch our participants perform. Their appreciation allows us to award monetary prizes for the winners: The Young Level winner is awarded $100; the Junior Level winner, $200; and the Senior level winner, $500. Runners-up receive $50, $100, and $250, respectively.
Contestants perform one piece composed by any Russian composer. Winners and runners-up will perform for the community in “All Winners Concert” on Saturday, April 8 2023. Admission: Free

Competition Rules

The competition is open to piano students between the ages 6 - 19 who live and attend school within a 50 mile radius of the Capital District during the academic year.

Competition will be held on APRIL 1ST, beginning at 10 am.

Contestants will perform one TCHAIKOVSKY composition of their choice.

Email one PDF copy of the composition you have chosen to play for the competition to INFO@newrussiacenter.org.

We will contact you promptly to confirm receipt of your registration form.

Previous winners of the Tchaikovsky Piano Competition are ineligible to compete in same level.

In late March 2023, we will notify you of the time of your performance and other logistics.

1st, 2nd and 3rd Places winners agree to perform in a All Winners Concert on April 8.

Non-refundable registration fee of $45 is due with Registration Form.
