Book of December 2018

"Appointment in Samarra" by John O'Hara
There is a folktale called the Appointment in Samarra that acts as a reminder that no one can escape death. The novel represents the same message, but here, death comes in the form of a choice. This is the story of 30-year-old Julian English, a well-to-do man in the 1930s who has a beautiful wife, high social status, and good job, but this life is not enough for him.
