Where: The Century House
We are delighted to share highlights from our recent 20th Anniversary Gala, held at the Century House in Latham on Saturday, December 20, 2025!
The evening began with a cocktail hour to suit different tastes including red caviar canapés and complimentary drinks. Guests enjoyed viewing memorable photographs from two decades of our programs and events displayed on a large screen and five easels showcasing newspaper articles about our signature events, including the Russian Winter Festival, Fashion Show, and theatrical performances.
During her opening remarks of the awards ceremony, Center President Tatiana Deptola expressed heartfelt gratitude to every volunteer who has given their time, every artist who has shared their talent, every audience member who has embraced new experiences, and every supporter who has believed in our mission of sharing Russian art and culture with the wider community. Twenty-four members of our local community were honored with Certificates of Appreciation.
During her opening remarks of the awards ceremony, Center President Tatiana Deptola expressed heartfelt gratitude to every volunteer who has given their time, every artist who has shared their talent, every audience member who has embraced new experiences, and every supporter who has believed in our mission of sharing Russian art and culture with the wider community. Twenty-four members of our local community were honored with Certificates of Appreciation.
Folowing the awards ceremony, guests were treated to artistic performances by our talented members. Marina Vaysberg performed original songs with guitar accompaniment, Tatiana Stepanets and Ron Miller presented a scene from a short story by Anton Chekhov, and Robert Willard delighted the audience with songs and guitar. One of Robert's performances was a song written by our local member Semen Lam, specially composed to commemorate our center's 20th anniversary. The song was received with great enthusiasm by the audience.
The evening continued with a gourmet dinner and dancing, with a professional live band.
360 photo booth with 30-second clips of guests dancing & celebrating, was engaging addition to the event.
The evening concluded with a group photograph of all award recipients.
It was truly a memorable celebration for everyone in attendance!
