timur IusupovThe New Russia Cultural Center hosts an opening reception for the Russian artist Timur Yusupov (St. Petersburg, Russia), giving you a chance to mingle with the artist.  Enjoy beautiful artistic works and wine and cheese.   We invite audiences to come to our art exhibition hall to share a transformative evening that will speak to each viewer in a personal voice. 

Timur Yusupov
Born in the Odessa region, Ukraine in1958. In 1986 graduated from the Leningrad Higher Art and Industrial School im.VI Mukhina, Faculty: architectural and decorative plastic - monumental - decorative sculpture. In the same year he entered the creative workshops of the Academy of Arts (graduate school) in Moscow.
Since 1989 - Member of the Union of Artists. Participant of exhibitions since 1978. Participated in 50 regional, regional and 4 All-Union exhibitions. He had several solo exhibitions: including: in Jurmala (Latvia), in St. Petersburg: in the Union of Artists, in the International Center for Business Cooperation, in the V. Nabokov Museum, in the Museum of Nonconformist Art (Pushkinskaya, 10).

Took part in the sculptors' symposium in Finland - presentation of linen paper sculptures in the city of Purvoo. Letters from Russia (1997). The author’s sculptures were made from linen paper made by authors. Two works were purchased and are in private collections in Finland. The same exhibition was presented in St. Petersburg in the Borey Gallery under the title "Letters from Finland" (1997). In 1998 took part in the exhibition of ceramics in Helsinki, Finland.  In 2002 received a special prize from the All-Russian Ice Sculpture Contest as part of the Moscow International Snow and Ice Sculpture Festival "Vyugovei - 2002". In 2002 and 2003 participated in symposia on stone sculpture in the Czech Republic, the city of Vyperty (led by Peter Hladka). Sculptures: "Menhir. Stone Idol", yellow limestone stone, 250x100x100cm. and "The Girl", a yellow limestone stone, 150x150x150cm., participated in charity auctions, the proceeds of which went to the treatment of children from an oncology clinic in the Czech Republic, installed in the Czech Republic.

Timur Yusupov has been cooperating with the Art Center Free Culture "Pushkinskaya, 10" for more than 10 years. Over the years, he has repeatedly participated in exhibitions and promotions at the Museum of Nonconformist Art, including in 2010. He held a personal exhibition "Supersymmetry". In 2013 in the fountain "Eye" MNTK "Eye Microsurgery" named after academician S.N. Fedorov (St. Petersburg) 13 bronze sculptural compositions and 8 bronze sculptural compositions in the adjacent territory were installed. There is further work on the park of sculptures. The sculptor's works were published in the press, including in the World of Design magazine (No. 3, 1997), in several issues of the Gorod. 812 magazine (St. Petersburg), were covered on television: a program devoted to creativity was shown on RenTV; On the State TV Company "Russia. Culture" and "Vesti. St. Petersburg" there were several reports about the opening of the personal exhibitions of Timu Yusupov.
