6th Annual New Year's (Novogodnyaya) Yolka Celebration!

Online Children Tickets:

General Yolka tickets ($15) are available at Dnipro Deli - 898 Loudon Rd, Latham, NY and at the Yolka Entrance door.

The event starts with a bilingual theatrical show.  After the magic curtain closes, children dance (with the characters of the show) around the Yolka, sing songs, and play games. At the end of the event all children receive presents from Ded Moroz. Parents encourage your children to be at the Yolka in the New Year's costumes and recite a poem about winter in Russian. It will be costumes parade and children poem recitation. Participants will receive special gifts from Ded Moroz.

Parents (if you haven't buy online ticket with a gift for your child) bring your own gifts for your children. Don't forget gift tags with your child name.

Bilingual Theatrical Show "Morozko" is directed by an artistic director Yuri Naumkin and performed by the members of the Drama Club of the New Russia Cultural Center.

Yuri Naumkina native of Moscow, graduated from the Lunacharsky State University of Theater Arts (GITIS).  For six years at the Moscow Lenkom Theater he performed leading roles in the productions including “The Rise and Fall of Joaquin Murrieta”, “The Thief “and “Juno and Avos”.

Yuri Naumkin became an artistic director of the Russian Drama Studio in 2014.  His artistic direction and artistic talent brought production success to four plays performed by the Russian Drama Studio.  Yuri’s work was first represented on production of the play “The Tsar Saltan”, performed for a children’s audience in December 2014 at the Yolka celebration in Schenectady. “The Victory Day”, musical/theatrical performance, “devoted to the celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the Victory of World War II was performed in May 2015 at Union College, Schenectady.  A play for children "New Year's Tricks of Baba Yaga" shown during Yolka 2016 in Albany, NY.  The play for grown-ups the “Love and Doves” was shown in November 2016 in Schenectady and at the Senior Citizens building at 400 Hudaon, Albany and in february 2017 at the New Russia Cultural Center's facility at 1550 Broadway Rensselaer NY.  New Yeaer show for children "Baba Yaga Against It" held on January 6 2018 at the NRCC' center and January 7th 2018 at The Mid-Hudson Russian-American Association.
