Margarita Rovenskaya
Margarita RovenskayaPianist and chamber musician Margarita Rovenskaya has performed extensively in the US and abroad, with recitals in Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall and Steinway Hall. Winner of the Mary Smart International Concerto Competition, Westminster Piano Concerto Competition, Connecticut Young Artist Competition, and American Fine Arts Festival, Ms. Rovenskaya is based in NYC.  

Ms. Rovenskaya's solo performances include international venues at the Sulzbach-Rosenberg International Music Festival in Germany, the International Academy of Music at Castelnuovo di Garfagnana in Italy, as well as festivals such as the Summit Music Festival, PianoSummer at New Paltz, Beethoven Institute at Mannes, and Round Top Festival Institute. In the summer of 2014, she ran the international Summit Music Festival as General Manager, where she also performed both solo and chamber music.

Ms. Rovenskaya especially enjoys chamber music, and has collaborated with internationally acclaimed artists, including concertmaster of Russian orchestra Moscow Virtuosi, Alexey Lundin. In summer of 2013, she also performed in Vermont as part of the six-week Manchester Music Festival chamber series. In the summer of 2015, Margarita was Visiting Artist and Piano Fellow at the Heifetz Institute, where she coached and performed the chamber music. Ms. Rovenskaya has performed several trios in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie hall as a winner of the Chamber Music Prize at the American Festival of Fine Arts.

Born in Ukraine, Margarita Rovenskaya began studying the piano at the age of six in Chicago. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance at Oberlin Conservatory in May 2012, her Masters in Piano Studies at New York University in May 2014, and is currently earning her Doctorate of Musical Arts at Rutgers University. Her teachers include Efrem Briskin, Peter Takacs, Eteri Andjaparidze, and Vladimir Valjarevic.

Elly Toyoda, Violin
Elly ToyodaElly Toyoda from Osaka, Japan has performed in various festivals in Asia, Europe, and North America. She holds her Bachelor’s degree from Oberlin Conservatory, where she was elected membership to Pi Kappa Lambda of the National Music Honor Society, and did an exchange program in Vienna, Austria upon receiving their Thomastik-Infeld City of Music Scholarship and Fine Arts Scholarship. She earned her Master’s degree from the Yale School of Music where she served as concertmistress of the orchestra, was a finalist of the concerto competition, and received the school’s Alumni Prize. An avid supporter of contemporary music, she appeared on programs at the National Sawdust, New York, and has premiered works at the Massachusetts International Festival of the Arts, Eighth Blackbird Creative Lab, Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, Lucerne Festival Academy, and Talis Festival. Toyoda is currently a full-scholarship Doctoral student at Rutgers University studying with Yura Lee, serving as concertmistress of the Rutgers Symphony Orchestra.
 
Julia Henderson, Cello
Julia HendersonRecent performances have found cellist Julia Henderson at the Joyce Theatre, Carnegie Hall, Bargemusic, Birnam Arts Center (UK), and in her own neighborhood of Inwood as part of Listen Closely concert series. She is an avid chamber musician, performing with groups throughout New York City, as well as touring with the chamber music theatre group Core Ensemble. Julia holds degrees from Oberlin Conservatory and The Juilliard School, where she studied with Darrett Adkins and Timothy Eddy. She has coached with members of the Shanghai, Juilliard, St. Lawrence, Jupiter, Cavani, and Orion String Quartets, and plays regularly with members of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and Knoxville Symphony as faculty of the Montserrat Music Festival. In addition to performing, Julia is a passionate teacher, and is on faculty at Sonic Exploration El Sistema Program and The Trinity School, as well as running a private cello studio in NYC.
