Anna KseniaABOUT THE PERFORMERS

Anna Keiserman, born in Ekaterinburg, Russia began her piano studies at the age of 5 at the Volgograd Music School. By the time she completed her studies, she had received many national awards, playing her first recital at the age of 14 and making her debut with the Volgograd State Symphony Orchestra at the age of 15. She continued her professional education at Volgograd Serebriakov College. Later, she received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Piano Performance from Gnessin’s State Academy in Moscow, where she studied with the esteemed Vladimir Tropp.

She has won prizes at several national and international competitions: First prize at the International Piano competition of Young Musicians in 2002; Second prize at the National Chamber Music Competition in 2001; and Second prize at the International Piano Competition in 1999. In addition, she was a semifinalist at the International Russian Music Competition in San Jose in 20101 and the winner of the Concerto Competition at the University of Minnesota in 2012.

She has toured as a soloist and as a chamber musician throughout Russia, Italy and Germany. Since relocating to the United States Anna has participated in numerous festivals including the International Keyboard Institute and Festival, the Round Top Festival Institute and the New Paltz PianoSummer.

She holds Master of Music Degree from the University of Minnesota, and served as an adjunct instructor at NYU Steinhardt School of Music where she studied with the internationally acclaimed pianist Eteri Andjaparidze. She is currently enrolled in the Doctorate Program at the Mason Gross School of Music in the studio of renowned pianist Dr. Min Kwon and Dr. Vladimir Valjarevich.

Ksenia Antonova started her music education at the Moscow State Academic College. She then continued her musical education at the Brooklyn Conservatory in New York. In the course of her opera studies she had the opportunity to sing as Alice Ford in a production of Falstaff (G. Verdi) and Princess in L’infant et les sortilèges (M. Ravel) with the Brooklyn Orchestra conducted by Richard Barrett. In 2014-2015 Ksenia was a member of Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia Opera Studio in Rome under the guidance of Renata Scotto. 

Ksenia sang many roles as part of the Ensemble at Volgograd State Opera Theater, including Fiordiligi in Cosi Fan Tutte, Micaela in Carmen, Marfa in Tsar’s Bride (N. Rimsky Korsakov), Sonya Gurvich in The dawns here are quiet.  She also recently sang Brigitta with the Tatarstan National Symphony Orchestra in Moscow and Kazan, the role of the Golden Cockerel (Rimsky-Korsakov) in Golden Cockerel with New Opera NYC, and the Vixen in “Cunning Little Vixen” (Janáček) with dell’Arte Opera Ensemble.

Her repertoire includes Tatyana in Eugene Onegin (Tchaikovsky), Iolanta in Iolanta (Tchaikovsky), Mimi and Musetta in La Boheme (Puccini),  Liu in Turandot (Puccini), Donna Anna in Don Giovanni (Mozart), Rusalka in Rusalka (Dvorak), Pannochka in May’s Night (Rimsky-Korsakov), Szymanowski’s Stabat Mater, Dvorak’s Requiem, romances and song cycles by Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky, Slonimsky, Rachmaninov and other.

She regularly gives recitals in Russia and USA and recently celebrated her debut with the Russian State Academic Symphony Orchestra as Svetlanov in a production of Ariadne of Naxos conducted by Vladimir Jurowski in Moscow.
