Tikhonenko Irina

Irina Tikhonenko came to Albany from Russia many years ago with her scientist husband and son. Like many people who came from afar, she brought a treasury of memories with her. Irina wants to open her soul and share with an audience some of her favorite Russian songs, those that she remember from her childhood. They are all about love: love for the homeland, for the family, people, art, all that makes us human.

The concert will end with the familiar tune, a nostalgic call for the past from the XIX century Russian opera transformed into a hopeful hymn to love in the Broadway hit, the Stranger in Paradise.
