9th Annual Russian Winter Festival 2017

Russian Winter FestivalObjective: To expand the public understanding and appreciation of Russian folk art, traditions and culture. 

The first Russian Winter Festival 2009, one day event,  was a huge success.  The second Russian Winter Festival 2010 was featured a few events - art exhibition, piano competition, film forum and we had the visitors from Tula, Russia. The third Festival 2011 featured Russian Poetry Recital Contest. The 3rd Rifle Division of Red Army, a reenacting group, joined the fourth Winter Festival in 2012. The fifth Winter Festival featured Nadezhda Obukhova Classical Vocal Competition and Best Braided Hairdo Contest in 2013. Art-trio "Volnitsa" from Moscow was a headliner for the Festival 2013 and 2014.  The Rachmaninoff Music Competition had established in 2016. It includes piano, vocal and violin divisions.   The Festival Flyer is here

 It's a day of traditional Russian food, music, dance, costumes, exhibits, performances, crafts and contests.
