Creative Movement Class / 4-6 years old

creative movementThis class is a great introduction to dancing for children just developing their coordination. The teacher guides the children in a way that makes discovering movement, balance and listening skills easy and fun.

Our dance curriculum focuses on artistic creative and technical training. The classes are a modified blend of: ballet jazz modern dance acting and singing. Music from different parts of the world. This is an introductory movement class structured to establish the foundations of ballet technique while also fostering an understanding of the roots of classical ballet, creativity, and an interest in movement.

Children must wear stretchy clothing that allows them to move freely: leggings, sweatpants, t-shirts, sweat shirts ,socks or bare feet (socks in the winter), no shoes. And long hair must be pulled up at least into a pony tail, if not a bun.  If the children progress enough, we hope to have them perform a simple dance at Novogodnyaya Yolka and the end of the school year.
