Capital Campaign Successfully Completed!!!
In Spring 2016 the New Russia Cultural Center started a Capital Campaign to raise funds needed to purchase its own facility located at 1550 Broadway, Rensselaer NY. In January 2017 the building was purchased. To purchase the property down payment 20% ($24,000) of the purchasing price of $120,000 was provided with the Capital Campaign funds raised, the sum of $96,000 to be covered by mortgage.
Following the building acquisition and renovation, the Center will conduct various operations to foster the underlying theme of a Russian-American cultural center. The building will house local and international artists, accommodate educational and cultural programming and special events, such as the Russian language and art school, drama studio, teens club, book club, women's club, art workshops, exhibitions, lectures, dance, cooking classes, events observing major holidays, poetry readings and film screenings. The building includes a Concert hall, Exhibition/Ballroom/Banquet hall, 3 classrooms, kitchen, and the meeting room.
The New Russia Cultural Center celebrates its new facility with a Grand Opening on Saturday, February 18th 2017 at 3pm. Everyone is welcome!
The New Russia Cultural Center gears up for next capital campaign to complete building’s renovation. The renovation project included building the stage in the concert hall, installing hardwood floor in the ballroom, repairing ceilings, repainting the walls and refurbishing lights.
There are multiple ways that you can participate:
- Make a two to five-year pledge
- Make a one-time gift of any amount
- Form a group for a naming opportunity
- Get your family and friends together and share the effort
- Introduce the campaign committee to prospective donors
New Russia Cultural Center is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization: donations are tax deductible. Gifts of all sizes are welcome and greatly appreciated. Donors will enjoy special acknowledgement/ benefits tailored to each giving level.
Distinquished Founder: giving $50,000 or more.
Founder: giving $25,000 or more
Benefactor: giving $10,000 or more
Patron: giving $5,000 or more
Builder: giving $1,000 or more
Supporter: giving $500 or more
Donors will enjoy special acknowledgment benefits at all levels. Permanent donor recognition wall on site begins at Supporter Level (unless the donors indicate they'd like their gifts to remain anonymous). Donors of Builder Level of $1,000 or more will be awarded the Honorable lifetime membership of the center.

Donors who make gifts of $1,000 and greater will be recognized on the engraved "That's My Brick" paver in the Center's entryway.

From June 2016 to January 2017 Marina Glavin (Glavin & Glavin Law Firm) attorney represented our organization in a legal matter for the building acquisition and mortgage execution. Her in-kind donation for that contributed service saved thousands of dollars to the organization. Her service is greatly appreciated.

Local artist Olga Alexandrova contributed her painting, triptych “Red Square, Moscow” to the New Russia Cultural Center. The fair market value of the artwork is $1,000. Olga Alexandrova’s philanthropic support for the New Russia Cultural Center is deeply appreciated. As a campaign donor Olga Alexandrova name will be acknowledged on the engraved "That's My Brick" paver in the Center's entryway.
