Capital Campaign Successfully Completed!!!

1550 Broadwayconcert hall

In Spring 2016 the New Russia Cultural Center started a Capital Campaign to raise funds needed to purchase its own facility located at 1550 Broadway, Rensselaer NY. In January 2017 the building was purchased.  To purchase the property down payment 20% ($24,000) of the purchasing price of $120,000 was provided with the Capital Campaign funds raised, the sum of $96,000 to be covered by mortgage.

Community's support is a key to our Capital Campaign's success!

Following the building acquisition and renovation, the Center will conduct various operations to foster the underlying theme of a Russian-American cultural center. The building will house local and international artists, accommodate educational and cultural programming and special events, such as the Russian language and art school, drama studio, teens club, book club, women's club, art workshops, exhibitions, lectures, dance, cooking classes, events observing major holidays, poetry readings and film screenings. The building includes a Concert hall, Exhibition/Ballroom/Banquet hall, 3 classrooms, kitchen, and the meeting room.

The New Russia Cultural Center celebrates its new facility with a Grand Opening on Saturday, February 18th 2017 at 3pm.  Everyone is welcome!

The New Russia Cultural Center gears up for next capital campaign to complete building’s renovation.  The renovation project included building the stage in the concert hall, installing hardwood floor in the ballroom, repairing ceilings, repainting the walls and refurbishing lights.
